Our conference will be hosted by Dr. Yalinie Kulandaivelu and Dr. Isidora Ntienjem, who will guide us through two days of learning, discussion, and connection.

  • Hands-on simulation with experienced practitioners

  • Techniques for attending upright breech births

  • Video review of common manoeuvres and challenging scenarios

  • Practical training using the Sophie Models

  • Training with new models being developed by Lisa Cowdery, RM, midwife and trainer

  • Opportunities to practise skills, ask questions, and learn alongside colleagues from different professional backgrounds

Collaboration & Community

Building on Our 2025 Conference

Our inaugural conference was held in Calgary, Alberta, in November 2025, bringing together obstetricians, family physicians, and midwives to explore strategies for strengthening breech birth care in Alberta through collaboration across professions.

The 2026 Breech Power Course In-Person Conference continues this work in the GTA, with a focus on practical skills, evidence-informed care, interdisciplinary learning, and community.
